ARTSmobile will be touring different campuses throughout San Diego inviting design students to discuss our new reality of living a pandemic life, how it's changing our daily lives, and collectively redesign ARTSmobile version two. All design solutions will be displayed on the ARTSmobile.

About the hosts

James Halliday

James Halliday is Executive Director at A Reason To Survive (ARTS), a creative youth development nonprofit and community arts center located in National City. James is passionate about working with young people in the practices of participatory democracy and community-based design.

Arzu Ozkal

Arzu Ozkal is a Turkish-born, San Diego-based artist, designer, and researcher whose work focuses on design’s role in looking for forms of creative and critical outcomes through participation and collaboration. Ozkal recently received her first design patent for an assistive device for use by families and caregivers in museum and gallery settings.
