Carmen Velasco Favela is the Chief Operating Officer at Border X Brewing, responsible for all tap room and marketing activities at three breweries: Border X Brewing in Barrio Logan & Bell, as well as Mujeres Brew House. Mujeres Brew House was born as a natural extension to the original Mujeres Brew Club held at Border X Brewing in Barrio Logan. Its original goal was simply to create a space for women to learn about beer history, technology, and ingredients over a six-month process, in which the group crafted and brewed their own beer recipe.
