Founded in 1986 by Beryl Warnes, Julian Weaving Works has been producing one-of-a-kind wearable art for over 30 years. The Weaving Works Shop features items such as shawls, custom yarns, and saddle blankets. For Beryl, weaving is deeply meditative and promotes balance in all aspects of life.
Beryl Warnes established the Academy of Handweaving later as an expansion of her shop, to teach handweaving and foster connections in the local fiber arts industry. The mission of the Academy is to host a community of weavers and share the rhythmic practice of working at the loom.
