Claudia Biezunski-Rodriguez is a Chicana fashion designer that sews all of her own creations. She lives and works in the vibrant neighborhood of Barrio Logan and she specializes in one of one, original clothing and accessories. Claudia is also a strong advocate for slow fashion and she believes that clothing is not disposable. In our sewing studio, nothing ever goes to waste. Take a behind the scenes tour of Sew Loka’s production room and watch as head designer, Claudia Biezunski-Rodriguez, creates beautiful tote bags from scratch, using only donated fabric swatches and other recycled materials. Watch, listen, and learn as Claudia details her creative design process and speaks passionately about reducing unnecessary textile waste in the fashion industry.
