Creating Citizen-Focused Smart Cities: Bottoms Up

How do cities today get a leg up on innovation? What does a smart city really mean? How does design thinking play a role, and how can that be enhanced by inviting bottom-up participation from the community? How can human-centered design — and you — be involved?

There are a lot of questions around the global mission for cities to become “smart,” enter the 21st century, provide efficient services that address sustainability, and much more. Join us for a human-centered design approach to Smart Cities including the exploration of collaborative projects that have addressed issues such as parklets, housing, air pollution, and more.
